Dos Niñas Berries & Bees Farm is a 132 acre hillside farm located in Poultney, Vermont. It is a farm family owned operation that grows delicious organic blueberries and raspberries.
Last year we decided to expand our own volume of bees to increase the pollination of our crops and with a little research, the help of a good friend and the book “Beekeeping for Dummies”, we began our journey to become beekeepers. We now have many hives that produce the best natural honey that Mother Nature can provide.
Our honey is produced from wildflowers and forage feeds for cattle where use of chemicals is rare. Because of the types of plants, our honey is characteristically mild flavored and light colored.
Vermont has long been known for its innovative beekeepers and sweet pastures. The 1868 U.S. agriculture survey showed Vermont to be, as it is now, the leading honey producing state in New England with 12,000 to 15,000 hives producing from 400,000 to 1,000,000 pounds of honey annually.
